I'm now up to 4,800 rolls, or ninety-six boxes, in my 10,000 roll journey. The pennies are Canadian unless otherwise identified. Here are the stats for rolls 4,701-4,800:

* 1942 - 1977: 408, or 8.16%.
* 1978 - 1979: 135, or 2.70%.
* 1980 - 1981: 157, or 3.14%.
* 1982 - 1996: 1216, or 24.32%
* U.S. pre-'82: 118, or 2.36%. These are all non-wheat, non-'82 coppers.
* "Keepers," or semi-numismatic coppers that a naive or sentimental collector would keep: 17, or 0.34%. Twelve (12) of them are wheaties.

Total coppers: 2051, or 41.02%.

Still not quite up to the mean, but I keep hoping

Another tracking category of interest:
* U.S. pennies, '82 and after: 241, or 4.82%. (I dump away all '82s, so I have zero '82 coppers.)
