Price for 40% halves

Price for 40% halves

I contacted a coin shop in st louis they are paying $4.75 each for 40% halves is this a fair price?

The Official Coin Shop of Corsair (located just an hour west of St. Louis) will give you $4.85 each for them.

That's not too bad really. You can get 10x plus shipping here with some effort.

I think its a good price. Bullion dealer at the last coin show was offering $4.50 a piece.....

According to Coinflation.com, the intrinsic value of 40% silver halves is somewhere in the neighborhood of $5.60. But of course the dealer will buy at a discount. Although at $4.75, this is around a 15% discount. Seems a little steep, but not sure where you could do better.

its not bad considering its face to face and 40% is unloved.

tulving has some of the best buy prices around and he's only a little over $5 each if you send him $1000 FV. Considering most people don't have that much 4.75 is decent.

Halves sold in st louis at missouri coins for $5.00 each well worth the drive. Thanks for all inquiries.
