According to Coinflation.com, the intrinsic value of 40% silver halves is somewhere in the neighborhood of $5.60. But of course the dealer will buy at a discount. Although at $4.75, this is around a 15% discount. Seems a little steep, but not sure where you could do better.
its not bad considering its face to face and 40% is unloved.
tulving has some of the best buy prices around and he's only a little over $5 each if you send him $1000 FV. Considering most people don't have that much 4.75 is decent.
