Percentage wise... look it up. Im on dial up at the moment, it took me 30 seconds just to load this page. We arent killing dissidents of course, (yet) but we lock up lots of non violent folks at alarming rates.

even disregarding that it is pretty clear to see the police state forming... Honestly I discussed it so much elsewhere I dont feel like laying it all out. the mechanism for such is indeed being put in place though.... If it didnt go slowly and if they actually used these powers as they can as they made them law it simply wouldnt work. Little doubt they are waiting for a catylist. Im assuming it will be the issues stemming from a degrading dollar, or loss of jobs over the years which through globalism is likely to continue if individuals themselves dont force new paradigms....

Percentage, rated as per capita. I think it's for "behind bars only" as other countries might not have our parole system.

Ruby Ridge and Waco come to mind. Based on charges of child abuse, the Branch Davidian compound was surrounded. Then they gassed the place and burned it down to prevent the children from being further abused. Oh wait, they forgot to get the children out before they torched the building. A slight oversight, I'm sure.

Wow, I did not realize that was the case. 1 in 32 people are tied to the court. That's quite high.

Hm, that does sound like it is building toward a police state.

agreed. But to walk with Jefferson, you have to be ready to pay the price, or as Captain Willard said in "Apocalypse Now", " 'Never get out of the boat'....Absolutely goddam right...unless you were going all the way".

and i dont think that this nation wants to get out of the boat, there's still lots of food, and free porn onboard, a nice bunk and clean sheets as well. Too much to lose.......so, way of the coyote. i have a feeling Ole TJ would agree.

Kind of like all the people arrested for demonstrating against the pipeline. Peaceful protest results in being arrested. Thats what happened last week in DC and today in Ottawa. Police State I do believe

I know nothing of /these/ demonstrations.

Some "peacefull" demonstrations that I know more of have been very loud, very disorderly, and involved the destruction of considerable property, and some involved people being physically attacked.

I've seen the instructions organizers give their followers, and one big one is to not show anyone on their side being disorderly, but to turn the camera away or to turn it off. The old news media went along with them and refuse to show the rioters being violent, but concentrate on "police brutality".

That may change with digital cameras around and the internet. I hope so.
